The Scholastic Aptitude Test should be taken early enough in advance of the beginning of the school term to allow sufficient time for consideration of the application. Applicants should request that the results be sent to the Puerto Rico Baptist College. Students from other countries who cannot take the ACT or SAT test before enrollment may receive permission from the Director of Admissions to enroll for one semester provided all other requirements are met. These students must take one of these tests during their first semester at the Puerto Rico Baptist College.
FIRST TIME STUDENTS
If you are planning to attend college for the first time, please follow these steps for applying to Puerto Rico Baptist College. Write to the Puerto Rico Baptist College asking for an application.

Fill out the application and send it with the following requirements to the above address:
- 2 photos (2" x 2")
- $20.00 nonrefundable application fee to process your request.
- Medical Report. This form is to be completed by a medical doctor.
- Authorization for Medical Service (if the applicant is less than 21 years old).
- A letter informing us who and how you will pay for your studies.
Besides the information requested above, the PRBC needs the following information:
- Request the high school from which you have graduated to send a copy of your transcript directly to the Director of Admissions as soon as possible.
- Have your ACT or SAT scores sent to the Director of Admissions as soon as possible.
Applications for the first semester of the academic year should be submitted to the PRBC no later than July 1, and applications for the second semester of the academic year should be submitted no later than December 1. After the above information has been received and evaluated, you will be notified of your position with the PRBC and more information will be sent to you.
TRANSFER STUDENTS
If you are a transfer Student, please follow the steps under the paragraph FIRST TIME STUDENTS, and request each institution of higher education which you have previously attended to send a complete transcript to:

BIBLE COLLEGE TRANSFERS
In addition to the transfer requirements listed above, the following conditions apply to the transfer of credits from a Bible School, Bible Institute, or Bible College. Credits earned in Bible or theology in a standard Bible school or Bible college are considered for cceptance at PRBC on the same basis as are credits earned in academic subjects in a regular college or university . Credits from a Bible school with collegiate standing are accepted on the same basis as are credits earned from any college or university.
Credits in academic subjects which have been earned in a Bible school or Bible institute which does not have recognized collegiate standing are accepted at PRBC only by validation. Students may validate their Bible school credits by demonstrating their ability to maintain at least a 2.00 or above grade average for the first semester enrolled at Puerto Rico Baptist College.
DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING APPLICATIONS
Applications for first semester of the academic year should be submitted to PRBC no later the July 1, and applications for second semester of the academic year should be submitted no later than December 1.
EARLY ADMISSION
High school seniors with a 3.5 average, a partial high school transcript, and the ACT or the SAT scores available, may apply for admission during their senior year. Seniors who are only a course or two short of graduating may enroll in Puerto Rico Baptist College. Upon successfully completing their remaining high school credits, their college work will also be validated.
SPECIAL ADMISSIONS
Recognizing that not all students have educational backgrounds which fit the Puerto Rico Baptist College Application for Admissions form, Puerto Rico Baptist College will consider, on an individual basis, applications for enrollment from students with irregular educational backgrounds.
INFORMATION FOR FOREIGN STUDENTS
The Puerto Rico Baptist College is privileged to have Students from other countries come to be prepared for the Lord’s work. Throughout the years, a number of international
students have come and graduated and returned to serve the Lord faithfully in their countries. A student who is not a citizen of the United States makes application in the same manner as any other student. However, an international student should send his application to the PRBC well in advance of the regular deadlines as there are other steps which must be followed in order to obtain the proper documents to leave his country and enter United States territory.
A notarized letter from a person or church which will guarantee that a student’s financial obligations will be met is a requirement for all international students. High school
transcripts and transcripts of any college credits should be sent well in advance, as extra time will be needed to evaluate credentials from other countries.
REGISTRATION
In order to receive credit for any course, a student must be registered for the course in the College office. Please note, however, that before a student can register, he must have his schedule of courses signed by his advisor. Registration day for each semester is listed on the College Calendar, and advisors are available for counseling and signing of schedules during the registration day. Students registering after the official day of registration
must pay a late fee of $200.00.
STUDENT LOAD
A normal full-time undergraduate load is 15-16 credits (hours), depending upon the program in which the student is enrolled A maximum load is 20 credits. Student loads are
determined on the following basis:
- Students whose grade point average is below 2.00 or whose last semester’s work was below 2.00 are restricted to 14 credits.
- Freshmen and students with a grade point average of 2.00 or above may register for 16 credits.
- Students with a grade point average of 2.5 or above may register for 18 credits.
- Those students with a grade point average of 3.00 or above may register for 20 credits.
No student is allowed to exceed his load limit without the Registrar’s approval.
DROPPING A COURSE
In order to drop a course without receiving an “F’ grade, a student must acquire permission form the Registrar and register the change with the College office by the end of the first two weeks of the semester.
ADDING A COURSE
During the first two weeks of classes, a student may add a course with the approval of the Registrar, and register the change with the College office.
WITHDRAWALS
Anyone whose circumstances force him to withdraw from the College must register the withdrawal with the Registrar. If the withdrawal is deemed honorable by the Registrar
and if all financial obligations have been met, the student’s permanent record will be shown as “W-honorable”. Unregistered withdrawals and other dishonorable withdrawals
during the semester will show “W-dishonorable”.
REPEATING A COURSE
If a student repeats a course previously failed, the original “F” stays on the transcript with no credit. When the course is taken again, it will also be on the transcript with the new grade and credit. No student may repeat a course if the student has passed
the course with the minimum grade acceptable.
IRREGULAR SCHEDULING
The Puerto Rico Baptist College cannot schedule courses for the convenience of individual students who cannot or who do not take courses in their regular sequence.
COURSE CANCELLATION
Any course with insufficient enrollment may be cancelled.
